Chernoe Lake Park

Black Lake Park is situated in the historical center of Kazan near the Kremlin. It has existed for over two and a half centuries and was named after the lake which once occupied this area. The entrance features an art object called "The Lovers' Arch" with acoustic effects enabling good communication from both sides. The park is rectangular in shape, bounded by streets Dzerzhinsky, Chernyshevsky and Lobachevsky. Previously, chains led from the Kremlin walls through several lakes, one of which gave its name to the park.
