Gabdulla Tukay Monument

Gabdulla Tukay Monument in Kazan stands on Tukaya Square. It is among the best representations of the Tatar poet in monumental sculpture. A bronze figure over 4 meters tall depicts the poet with an open book, his face showing spiritual strength and vital energy. The pedestal is made from black labradorite, adorned with Tatar patterns and inscriptions in Russian and Arabic languages. Architecturally, the monument combines elements of Bulgarian tradition, emphasizing the historical connection of the region.
