Zilant Monument

The dragon Zilant monument is installed at the beginning of pedestrian zone on Baumana Street in Kazan. The sculpture created by Marat Gubaidullin depicts a bronze winged serpent with matte gray surface. Steps lead to the monument from the exit of "Kreml'skaya" metro station. In 2011, Zilant got gold plating and a crown added. This monument was presented to the city for its millennium anniversary and symbolizes Kazan's coat of arms.
