Музей А. М. Горького и Ф. И. Шаляпина

A.M. Gorky and F.I. Shalyapin Museum is located on Gorky Street in Kazan. Established in 1938 in an old building from the mid-19th century previously owned by bakeries and baker A.S. Derenkov. Exhibitions here showcase the lives and works of writer Maxim Gorky and singer Feodor Shalyapin. Since 1960 it has been included in the list of federal historical monuments. The museum regularly hosts cultural events including literary and artistic elite meetings as well as evenings dedicated to the Silver Age of Russian culture.
