Kul-Sharif Mosque

Kul-Sharif Mosque situated within Kazan Kremlin in Kazan serves as the main mosque of Tatarstan and symbolizes revival of Tatar spirituality. The building features turquoise domes and six minarets constructed from granite and marble. Its ensemble includes a room for wedding ceremonies and an Islamic history museum. It was built to commemorate the destroyed mosque of the Kazan Khanate era named after the national hero of Kazan - Seyid Kul Sharif. Completion took place in 2005.
