Kazan Zoological Garden

Kazan Zoo-Botanic Garden is located in Kazan at ulitsa Khadi Taktasha, 112. Founded in 1806 by Karl Fuks as a botanical garden of the university, later in 1851 it merged with an animal park. Today there are over 6 thousand plants (500 species) and about 170 animals, including rare species listed in the International Red List. For visitors, contact zoo "Lukomorye", play areas and attractions are open. The garden is a member of EAZA and protected by the state as a special natural territory.
