Kazan Богородицкий monastery

Kazan-Kozhikovo Monastery is located in Kazan at Bolshevaya Krasnaya Street, 5. It was founded presumably no earlier than 1579 on the site of finding the miraculous icon of Our Lady of Kazan. The monastery has preserved a historical complex of several buildings: a corps with the Church of the Dormition of the Cross, Sophia Gate Church, the Abbot's and Nikolay Corps. The reconstructed Cathedral of the Icon of Our Lady of Kazan was consecrated in July 2021. Today, the abbey continues its activities.
