Galeevskaya Mosque

Galeevskaya Mosque is situated on Gabdulla Tyurayev Street in the northern part of Starye Tatarskie Settlements in Kazan. It is a two-story two-naved mosque with an octagonal minaret built after restoration in 2015. Previously there was the Russian Islamic University and female dormitory of Muhammadiya Medrese. The mosque has a rich history including the period when its minaret was destroyed during Soviet times. Ceremonies upon opening took place with participation of the Mufti of Tatarstan and regional clergy representatives.
