Vladimir Ilyich Lenin House-Museum

V. I. Lenin House-Museum in Kazan is situated in an historical building from the late 19th century which is a monument of wooden architecture. Here Vladimir Il'ich Lenin lived together with his family during the period from 1888 to 1889. The museum's exposition is based on the house where the Ulyanov family resided. It is one of the oldest museums in Tatarstan, opened in 1937. The museum preserves memories about significant events of Lenin's Kazan life period as future leader of the proletariat.
