Eagle Sculpture

The sculpture "Eagle" is situated on Goryachaya Mountain in Pyatigorsk. It was first installed on May 1, 1901 and serves as a symbol of the city and the Caucasian Mineral Waters. The image of an eagle defeating a snake represents health and strength of the Caucasus. In 1973, the original cement figure was replaced with a bronze copy. The Eagle became a sign of well-being and healing due to its theme proposed by artist I.I. Krylov.
