Proval Lake

Lake Provaval is situated on the southern slope of Mount Mashuk in Pyatigorsk. It is a natural cave with an underground lake formed due to karst. In 1857-1858, a tunnel was excavated making the site accessible for visitors. Today tourists can see a unique underground mineral lake created by nature.
