Insect Museum

The Insect Museum in Pyatigorsk was opened in 1995 by entomologist Valentin Tikhonov. Visitors can see various exhibits: dried and live insects, as well as spiders, snakes, lizards and scorpions. The collection of butterflies and other fauna from the Caucasus and tropical zones attracts particular attention. Most of the exhibition was collected personally by the founder of the museum. Initially, the museum was located in the Academic Gallery.
