Lermontov Gallery

Lermontov Gallery in Pyatigorsk, opened in 1901, is part of the North-Caucasus State Philharmonic named after V.I. Safonov. The building is made of metal and glass, making it unique for southern Russia. Famous artists such as Feodor Chaliapin, Leonid Sobinov and Isadora Duncan performed here. The gallery was built to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Mikhail Lermontov's death.
