Academic Gallery

Academic Gallery in Pyatigorsk located on Gagarin Boulevard is a mid-19th century architectural monument. Designed by British architect Samuel Upton. Originally, the building served as a drinking gallery at the site of former Elizabeth's spring. In the 20th century, the gallery took the name of Russian Academy of Sciences to commemorate its 200th anniversary. It is one of the most recognizable buildings in the historical center of the city.
