Pushkinskaya Street

Pushkin Street in Rostov-on-Don is known for its monument to Alexander Pushkin installed in 1959 by sculptor G. Shulz; it also features "Pushkin's balls" by A.A. Sknarin. A XIX-century mansion adds to the street's unique charm. In early XX century it was considered one of the city's major arteries. The street houses the Rostov Oblast Museum of Fine Arts. Most of the street is designed as an ukhozhennyy boulevard crossing the central city avenues.
