Theater Square

Theater Square is the main square of Rostov-on-Don, situated between the historical parts of the city. It features Maxim Gorky Drama Theater, North-Caucasus Railway Administration, and memorial complex "Stele" with Nike goddess. The square was named after the Revolution, previously bearing this title until the first half of the 1930s. The central element of the complex is a stele 72 meters high, unveiled in 1985 to mark the 40th anniversary of Victory Day. Also on the square there are fountains and nearby lies October Revolution Park.
