Rostov Zoo

Rostov Zoo, one of the oldest and largest in Europe, is located in Rostov-on-Don at Zoologicheskaya Street, 3. Founded in 1923, it covers an area of 56.97 hectares and includes 10 all-season exhibitions such as Elephant House, Rhinoceros Enclosure, Aquarium, and Gallery "Animals of Africa". More than 7,500 animals of rarest species from all continents live here, including 269 listed in the International Red Book, 34 in the Russian Red Book, and 14 in the regional red book category of the Rostov region.
