Rostov Oblast Regional Museum of Local Studies

The Rostov Regional Museum of Local Lore is situated at Bolshaya Sadovaya, 79 in Rostov-on-Don. Founded in 1910. Over 365,000 exhibits are kept in its collections, depicting the history of the Don from ancient times to the present day. Special attention is given to ethnography: costumes from the Russian-Ukrainian borderland, cherkess suits of Nekrasovka women, Armenian headgear "poshi," festive coats of Don Cossack women. There is also a large photofile and documentary materials.
