Rostov State Musical Theatre

The Rostov State Music Theatre is situated on Bolshaya Sadovaya Street. Its building is designed as a white piano with an open lid, becoming a symbol of the city. The theatre opened in 1999 and is a state cultural institution of the region. Its repertoire includes opera, ballet, operetta and musicals. There are a symphony orchestra, choir and ballet troupe operating within the theatre. It continues the traditions of Rostov's Musical Comedy Theatre founded in 1931.
