Kumzhenskaya Grove Memorial Complex

Memorial complex "Kumzhenskaya Grove" is situated in Rostov-on-Don. Its central element is monument "Storm": a sculpture with an 18-meter metal arrow indicating the direction of the main Soviet troops' attack. Memorials plaques list the parts involved in liberating the city. Sculptural group depicts actual participants of battles including commander Alexei Filippov and political officer Aleksandra Nozadze. Complex includes transferred brotherly burials from Nizhny Gnilovskaya.
