Botanical Garden of the Southern Federal University

The Botanical Garden of the Southern Federal University in Rostov-on-Don was opened in 1927 and is the first institution of its kind in the treeless regions of southern Russia. Today, its territory covers more than 160.5 hectares. Special attention should be paid to the greenhouse with a collection of tropical and subtropical plants numbering about 1600 species and forms.
