Botanical Garden of the Southern Federal University

The Botanical Garden of the Southern Federal University is situated in Rostov-on-Don. It serves as a scientific and educational base for SFU, where plants from the steppe zone of Lower Don and tropical regions are studied. A dendrarium with trees from various parts of Russia has also been created here. The garden actively engages in introducing and acclimating plants after restoring collections following World War II. The total area of the botanical garden exceeds 160 hectares.
