Architectural and Sculptural Complex with the "Lions" Fountain

The architectural and sculptural complex with the "Lions" fountain in Rostov-on-Don was created in 1916 in front of the main entrance to the building of the State Bank office. The author of the sculptural design is Yakov Veide. The ensemble includes a pair of recumbent lions, decorative pedestals with spheres, and balustrades, while the sculptures are oriented towards the open space of Sovets Square. The complex was part of the improvement of the pre-revolutionary Novobazarnaya Square.
