Vladivostok GUM (Kunst and Albers Department Store)

Kunst & Alberts Trading House, now known as Vladivostok GUM, boasts a rich history starting with the opening of its first store in 1865. The current GUM building, constructed in 1906 by architect Georgy Yungkhendler, replaced an earlier structure laid in 1882. In 1934, the Vladivostok State Universal Store was grandly opened here. Today it is a popular shopping and strolling spot in the center of Vladivostok on Svetlanskaya Street, 35.
