Light Street
Vladivostok, Svetlanskaya St
Svetlanskaya Street in Vladivostok got its name in memory of Grand Duke Alexei Alexandrovich's visit on frigate "Svetlana". Previously it was known as American Street, changing in 1873 upon renaming. Buildings from late 19th to early 20th century still stand there; also, historically this street marked the end of the city's historical part. In 1924 it became named after Lenin but later returned to its current title.
