Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral

The Spaso-Preobrazhenie Cathedral in Vladivostok is situated on Light Avenue. Construction commenced in the XXIst century under the direction of architects A. Kotlyarov and V. Chirtick. The cathedral was consecrated by Patriarch Alexius II in 2000 and formally inaugurated in August 2023. It is the tallest church in Primorye at 67 meters high and boasts an interior space of 846 square meters, able to accommodate up to 2000 worshipers concurrently. Ongoing efforts focus on completing its décor and establishing a museum for the Primorsky Metropolitan See.
