Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Vladivostok is located at Okhtinsky Avenue, 44. The church was founded in 1900 and consecrated in 1902, but later destroyed and rebuilt after the collapse of the USSR. Originally, there was the first Vladivostok cemetery on that site, which was later transformed into a park. In 1923, the church passed to the "обновленцы" after the closure of the cemetery. Today, the cathedral is an important sightseeing spot in the center of Vladivostok.
