Cathedral of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin

The Cathedral of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary is situated on Okhtinsky Avenue, 44, in Vladivostok. The history of the temple begins in 1897 when a cemetery chapel was set up upon the request of priest Alexander Muraviev. The first church was consecrated in 1902. In 1956, instead, a Lenin monument was placed there. A new cathedral building was constructed from scratch starting in 1991 with the laying of the first stone in 2004. The bells of the temple were consecrated in 2007.
