The Monument to the Fighters for Soviet Power in the Far East is located in Vladivostok, on Revolution Combatants Square. It is the city's largest monument, created by sculptor Alexei Teneva with architects Usachev, Kozlov and Trautman. It was opened on April 29, 1961. The central figure of a fighter with a flag stands high on a pedestal facing the sea, symbolizing the end of the struggle against Japanese interventionists. On two sides there are bronze compositions depicting the overthrow of monarchy and victory over the interveners. The monument also bears an inscription dedicated to the fighters for Soviet power from 1917 to 1922.
