Monument to Fighters for Soviet Power in the Far East

The Monument to Revolution Fighters in the Far East is situated in Vladivostok on Revolution Fighters Square. It is the largest city monument created by sculptor Alexei Tenehta with architects Usachev, Kozlov and Trautman. Opened on April 29, 1961, it features a central fighter figure holding a flag standing 30 meters high facing the sea, symbolizing the end of the struggle against Japanese interventionists. On both sides there are bronze groups depicting overthrowing monarchy and victory over interventors. On the front side of the monument there is an inscription commemorating fighters for Soviet power from 1917 to 1922.
