Andy's First Called Apostle Church-Shrine

The church-shrine of Saint Apostle Andrew the First-called is situated on the Shipbuilding Embankment in Vladivostok. Construction began in August 2004 after blessing the foundation stone. The shrine is single-domed, accommodates 40-50 people and was designed by the Architectural Institute DVGTU and Central Design Institute of the Russian Defense Ministry. It was consecrated on May 12, 2005 by Archbishop Vladivostok's Veniamin. Bringing relics of apostle Andrew to Vladivostok served as the reason for building the shrine. It stands next to the memorial complex "Military Glory of the Pacific Fleet".
