Y. M. Sverdlov Garden

Yaroslav Sverdlov Park is located on Red Square in Perm. Founded in 1865 on the site of a closed copper smelting plant. Here there is a monument "Mourning Newfoundland" in memory of canine handler Yanis Markodse. In 1928, Vladimir Mayakovsky performed in the park. The area was reopened after reconstruction in 2010. Previously, the garden was called "Angel's Garden". Competitions were held on the pond.
