Saint-Pyotrsburg Cathedral

The Pyotropavlovsky Cathedral in Perm is the oldest stone structure of the city, founded in 1757. Originally, a wooden church was consecrated in 1726 and became the main cathedral after the establishment of Yegoshikha copper smelting plant in 1723. The stone church received the status of town cathedral upon the founding of Perm. The dedication ceremony for the main temple to apostles Pyotr and Paul took place in 1764. Since 1987, the cathedral has been under protection as a monument of urban planning in the Urals region.
