Alexander Stepanovich Popov Monument

The monument to Alexander Stepanovich Popov is installed in Perm on Lenin Street, 68. A bronze figure of the scientist weighing about 800 kg is placed on a granite pedestal. The inscription on the front side notes his contribution to the invention of radio. The sculptors are Alexey Matveev and Igor Dymshakov; architectural parts were made by Dmitry Lapshin and Ekaterina Koltsova. The opening of the monument took place on June 11, 2013 with participation of representatives from the telecommunications industry of the region.
