Ural Volunteer Tank Corps Memorial

Memorial to the Urals Volunteer Tank Corps in Perm is situated on Veterans' Square near the building of Perm Officers' House. Monument commemorates the feat of soldiers from the corps awarded with orders of Krylatsky Banner, Suvorov and Kutuzov. Eternal flame lit here on May 9th, 2006. Pillar marks the combat path of the corps from Orlov to Prague. The corps was equipped with weapons and gear produced by residents of Ural beyond plan and through voluntary contributions. Grand opening took place on March 11th, 1963 marking the 20th anniversary of formation of Perm tank brigade.
