Kamskaya Hydroelectric Station
Perm, Gidrostroiteley St, 5
Kama Hydroelectric Station is located in Perm and was commissioned in 1954, becoming the first station on the Kama River. It generates electricity and forms the Kama Reservoir due to its dam. The electric generators of the station are integrated directly into the body of the water conduit structure. The first billion-watt energy production occurred here on May 25, 1956. Kama HES also plays an important role in ensuring navigation through the Kama River.
