Good Angel of Peace Sculpture

The architectural and sculptural composition "Good Angel of Peace" in Orenburg was unveiled on June 28, 2008, in the year of the city's 265th anniversary. The angel figure, about three meters high, is installed on a six-meter four-sided column under a hemisphere, and a stylized image of an open book with the inscription "Golden Book of Nations" is placed in front of the pedestal. Five alleys radiate from the monument, leading to the city's Board of Honor and to the Alley of Heroes with memorial plaques. The names of benefactors of the past are carved on the back side of the pedestal under the heading "Orenburg Patrons of the Centuries."
