Lenin Monument in Lenin Square

In the center of Leninsky Sqare in Orenburg rises a monument to Vladimir Illych Lenin created by sculptor V.V. Kozlov and architect M.V. Ryangin. The figure's height is 165 cm, depicting Lenin during a public speech. The memorial was made in workshops of Leningrad Art and Industry Technical School and is among the first monuments to Lenin worldwide. Initially funds for its creation were collected by city residents instead of financing hydroelectric station construction on Sakmar River.
