Memorial to Orenburg Residents — Participants of World War I

The monument to orenburg residents-participants of World War I was installed in Vladyka Leonty's Square on Chkalova Street in Orenburg. Opened in 2014, its authors are artists E. Vargot, M. Vedernikov, D. Vargot, S. Brenev and Yu. Davydov. A granite stele six meters high made from karelian granite is featured. The composition's distinctive feature is a mosaic icon of St. George the Victorious. The monument recalls the mass dispatching of Orenburg residents to the front in 1914.
