Orenburg Governor's Historical and Ethnographic Museum

Orenburg Governor's Historical and Regional Studies Museum is situated in an historical building from the 19th century at 28 Sovetskaya St., Orenburg city. It showcases exhibits about the region's formation, education and science. Separate halls are dedicated to the military history of Orenburg province. Collections include herbariums, photos, documents, handwritten books, coins, medals and religious artifacts. Notable is the exhibit "Gold of Sarmatian Leaders". Since 2005, a branch called "Hooray, Victory!" has been operating.
