Europe — Asia Monument

Obelisk "Europe - Asia" is situated on the left bank of the River Ural in Orenburg. It is the first monument in Russia marking the boundary between Europe and Asia. Made as a square column about 15 meters high, it features a stainless steel sphere on top. Designed by architect Gennadiy Naumumyn and installed in 1981, this obelisk is prominently visible from the highway leading to the city and has cultural-symbolic significance.
