Yuri and Valentina Gagarins Apartment-Museum

Yuri and Valentina Gagarins' Museum-Apartment is situated in an historical house on Chicherin Street in Orenburg. It houses a branch of the City History Museum. The first museum opened in 1971 to mark Yuri Gagarin's ten-year anniversary flight. Visitors will see authentic household items from the Gorachevs family, including a quilt and curtains embroidered by Valentina Gagarina. A separate room highlights Yuri Gagarin's stay in Orenburg. The exhibit includes a mid-20th century communal kitchen and two rooms with memorial interior design.
