Memorial Complex to the Fallen in the Great Patriotic War

The center of the memorial complex in Orenburg is a 15-meter obelisk, opened on May 9, 1967. In 1985, the territory was improved and a square was laid out, and in 1992, steles with the names of fallen Orenburg residents appeared on the sides of the monument. In 1995, the memorial "Orenburg to the Front" was opened opposite the obelisk, and pedestals with the names of soldiers who died in hospitals were also installed. The eternal flame of the complex burns in the center of a five-pointed star at the base of the obelisk, which has the status of a cultural heritage site of regional significance.
