Alley of Heroes

The Alley of Heroes in the Fourth of April Square is dedicated not only to the participants of the Great Patriotic War, but also to outstanding residents of Orenburg from different generations. The names of Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of Russia, Heroes of Socialist Labor, full cavaliers of the Orders of Glory and Labor Glory, as well as honorary citizens of the city, are immortalized on memorial plaques made of red granite with gold letters. The complex, which is part of the architectural and park ensemble "Pride and Glory of Orenburg," includes 20 such plaques, the city Board of Honor, a monument to Musa Jalil, and the sculpture "Good Angel of Peace."
