North Ossetian Opera and Ballet Theatre

North Ossetian Opera And Ballet Theatre is situated at Tkhapsaeva Street, 18, Vladikavkaz. Established in 1958, it functioned as an operatic-ballet theater since 1972. The building standing on the banks of the Terek River is recognized as a regional cultural heritage site. The theatre became a branch of Mariinsky Theatre in 2017. Its auditorium accommodates 680 people; its stage has a height of 12 meters. Since 2012, the theatre has been designated as a national treasure of the republic.
