Chugunnyy Bridge

Vladikavkaz, across the Terek River at Shtyb Square

The chugun bridge in Vladikavkaz connected the banks of the Terek river near Shtyb Square. It was opened in 1863 and originally called Olginsky. Its length was 104 meters, width - 6.5 meters. A tram ran on the bridge already in 1904. It was manufactured in England in 1860. After building a new concrete bridge in 1958, the old one was dismantled.
