Church in Honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh

The Church in Honor of St. Sergius Radonezhsky is located at Sergievskaya Street, 25 in Nizhny Novgorod. The building was constructed in 1869 under the guidance of architect R. Kilvein and executed in the Russian classical style. In the late XVIII century, the church was re-consecrated by Bishop Damaskin. After reconstruction, the upper part of the building received a hemispherical dome instead of the previous roofing. The temple is parochial within the Nizhny Novgorod deanery of the Nizhny Novgorod eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church.
