Sormovsky Park

Sormovsky Park in Nizhny Novgorod is a regional cultural heritage site. Located on the grounds of former Darinsky Forest with predominance of old pines. The park received regular layout in the 1930s. The idea emerged in the 1920s along with the culture palace of "Krasnoe Sormovo" factory. The initial area was approximately 180 hectares. The construction organizer was Alexey Kokushkin. Officially opened in 1935.
