Christmas Street

Christmas Street in Nizhny Novgorod is an historical artery of the city, once its ancient settlement's central axis. Here stands the rental house of merchant Michurin built in early academic eclectic style in the 1840s. Also notable is Blinov Passage constructed in 1878 according to St. Pyotrsburg architect A. Brun's design under R. Kilevein's supervision. This building was a complex of shops, warehouses, offices, hotel, restaurant and telegraph office actively operating during the time of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair.
