Lower Volga Embankment

Nizhne-Volzhskaya Embankment is a popular walking area in Nizhny Novgorod. It is divided by Chkalovskaya Steps into two parts and decorated with 23 wrought iron sculptures. There are 18th-19th century Red Barracks, Zatcheyevskaya Tower of the Kremlin and Pyotr I's monument here. On the embankment there are a boat called "Hero" and the city's symbol - sculpture "Silver Deer". As part of reconstruction new bike paths were laid out, greenery was updated, asphalt road surface replaced with cobblestone, curbstones installed, lawns planted and new lighting set up.
