Nizhny Novgorod Circus

Nizhny Novgorod Circus is situated on Kommunisticheskaya Street, 38. Its history began with wooden stationary circus of brothers Nikitin, which welcomed its first audience on July 28, 1883. A stone building with capacity for 1719 seats opened on April 21, 1964 after reconstruction. The circus is known for hosting ice and water performances as well as shows by Russian and foreign collectives since 1883. After prolonged reconstruction it reopened on September 1, 2007.
