Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin

Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin is a historical complex in the center of Nizhny Novgorod, including a stone wall two kilometers long and 13 towers built between 1508-1515 by Italian architect Pietro Franceschi. Access is available along the entire perimeter of the wall, as well as the city's oldest church - the Mikhail-Arkangel Cathedral from the 17th century. The Kremlin has the second largest area among Russian fortresses after Moscow, its territory includes art museums, exhibition centers and a concert hall of the philharmonic society. From the viewing platform of the northern facade there is a view of the confluence of the Volga and Oka rivers.
