Nizhny Novgorod State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after A.S. Pushkin

Nizhny Novgorod State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after A.S. Pushkin is situated on Belinsky Street in the Soviet district of the city. Founded in 1935, it is an important cultural center of the region. The theater is known for its large auditorium with 1152 seats and annual hosting of All-Russian Pushkin Festival "Bolshino Autumn". Symphonic orchestra, choir, ballet troupe and soloists perform operas, ballets and operettas of classical music from Russian and foreign origins here.
